After rain during the night the ground was somewhat wet so I decided best to keep our clearance work tasks today on level ground for H&S reasons !
Arrived at school before 8.30am signed in and headed via school to the wildlife area …first job was pruning back and taking cuttings of the cultivated roses growing in the pots by the classroom wall…I also pruned back a large nearby buddleija and weeded out some wood avens and alexanders growing near the water butts 👍🏻
Mrs Webber joined me at 9am …as usual she’d collected 2 tubs of fruit peelings from the nursery class which were emptied into our compost bins👍🏻
We then spent the next 90 minutes working along the top pathway ie weeding the pathway plus under and behind the seating and trimming back the ivy ,pruning back shrubs overhanging the paths etc
After our refreshment break we packed away our tools etc and headed off for our homes at 11.30am as we had appointments elsewhere…. again 😇😇
